Love the Scenery and Guardian Update (Sorta)

Well, to be honest, there isn't really much of an update. I did however receive a picture from our PM of our progress which he took standing next to my Venice neighbors completed house looking down onto our foundation and the other Venice being built at the same time next to us. The more I look at the picture below of our house, the more I love our lot. I had some second guessing for a while, but I really am loving the scenery and I am excited to know that the Potomac River and boat ramp is a mere 1/2 mile down the street behind the trees. I can't wait to go fishing!!! Hopefully by this time next week we will have a framed house.

In other news, I know you are expecting some Guardian news or update, but truth is I kinda fibbed a little. I don't really have news regarding Guardian, unless you consider the German Sheppard Puppy we are adding to our home in a few short weeks!! : -) He will be our Guardian.  We have decided to get the puppy now vs. potty training in the new house. We are very excited and can't wait to bring him to the property to become familiar with the back yard, street, neighbors woods etc. being that we only live about 10 minutes away, we will be socializing him to the new environment as often as possible.

Who needs Guardian Security when you can have this little ankle biter ?

    1. Chrissie, for now, we are planning on naming him "Rommel", after the the German Field Marshall Erwin Rommel since he is a German Shepherd and I have a habit of naming "male" pets after famous Generals. I thought about calling him Custer for a second. I know, seems kind of silly. Rommel will be his formal name on his papers, but we will probably end up calling him Rommski lol.... We will post more pics of the puppy when we have him. It's still going to be a week or two before he is ready to move into his new forever home with us. He should be past the 8 week mark next week.

  7. Just found your blog! We're in the process of building too! We're building the Palermo (http://palermonewbeginnings.blogspot.com/). Our move in date is September or October.

The reason I'm commenting though is because we're also getting a puppy before we move to our new place (Potty training is our reason as well). Our little guy was just born a week ago so he won't be coming home with us for about 7 weeks (husky puppy). Congrats on your home and your new family member (we want to get a German Shepherd next).

    1. Congrats on your future home and puppy. Potty training is coming along slowly but surely. I am sleep deprived from the midnight potty breaks. I look forward to seeing pics of your progress and puppy :)
